Easy How To Cute DIY Cat Toe Shoes
Cap toe shoes are a big trend this year and the Internet loves cats. What do you get when you combine the two? Cat toe shoes.
These are so cute, easy to make and very versatile. You can make these with ballet flats or slip-on shoes like I did here, whatever takes your fancy.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- A pair of flats or slip-on shoes (preferably with a round-toe)
- Navy and white fabric paint (or whatever colour you want)
- Painter’s tape
- Large and small paint brushes
Use the painter’s tape to tape off the rim of the flats and remember to press down firmly. You don’t want the paint to seep through.
Use a pencil to draw on the outline of your cat. If you don’t feel confident doing this, use painters tape to tape off the top of the shoes as well as the rim.
Grab your paintbrush and start painting! I did two coats of navy fabric paint. Depending on how deep you want the color to be and the base colour of your shoes, one or two coats should work just fine.
Carefully remove the tape (from the rim, as well as the top if that is what you did) and paint small triangles for the ears.
Use a bobby pin or your small paintbrush to dot the eyes on the face of the cat. Use the small brush and lightly make short strokes for the whiskers. Don’t worry if you mess up, you can always paint over and try again. You can also use white paint marker for finer strokes.
