How To Make A Flowers And Hearts Hat For Your Cat
Mother’s Day is just around the corner if you haven’t forgotten and if you have ever wondered how to make a hearts and flowers hat for your cat… you’ve come to the right place. Now is the purrfect time to surprise your mother with a loving hand-made gift to brighten up her day. She loves you and she also loves her furry family members (no… not your dad!). Your mum would want your cat to look their best for this special day and a photo of your cat in a glamorous flower-y hat is just the way to go!
What you will need:
- Paper or cardstock in whatever design you would like
- contrasting paper
- decorations such as flowers, love hearts or stickers.
- hot glue gun or craft glue
- scissors
- pencil
- ruler

How To Make A Flowers & Hearts Hat For Your Cat
Step One
How To Make A Flowers & Hearts Hat For Your Cat. Print out the template and lay over your chosen cat had paper or cardboard. Trace the template and cut it out. When cutting out, leave 0.5cm over the edge as a glue flap to be able to glue the hat into a cylindrical shape.
Step Two
Add glue to the flap and glue the hat into a cylinder. Fold the tips of the hat into the centre by gently forming a circular shape with your fingers. To secure the dome shape, sit the hat down on a table top (gently) and drop some hot glue inside to form the dome. Hold it in this position until the glue dries. If you are using hot glue it will only take a minute. Using craft glue will take longer and you may want to use sticky tape.
Step Three
Cut a piece of your contrasting paper for the ‘hat band’ and attach with glue to the end of your dome.
Step Four
Cut out the circle for the hat rim and use hot glue or craft glue to attach to the body of the hat. The hat ‘dome’. Once it has dried you can use your fingers or a pencil to roll up the edges of the hat rim for some additional style.
Step Five
Add your extra decorations such as flowers, hearts or anything else you want. Or, just leave it as is and let your cat be the star of the show!
